How does anyone do it all?

I feel like everyday as Eric and I get ready in the morning for the long day ahead of us, we manage to DESTROY our house. I feel as if I am cleaning, picking up and cooking ALL THE TIME! Does it ever stay clean? I don't think it's possible..

However, among our crazy lives and constantly cleaning, I have been proud of myself for doing a better job at trying new recipes and cooking! Recently I have made fresh salsa, cafe rio pork, rice and dressing, banana bread, sandwiches (the hardest of them all), chicken wraps, and a ton more! I am starting to get the hang of cooking and Eric seems to be enjoying it!

I have also decided that I HATE TO FOLD LAUNDRY! When I first met Eric, I used to fold his laundry for him to make a good impression and to help him out since he hated folding it. Well, I am now on the list of people who hate to fold laundry. I feel like Eric and I don't wear that many clothes, since my most recent school outfit is gym clothes. However, I AM ALWAYS DOING LAUNDRY! It's the worst. I need to just suck it up and get used to it because I don't plan on it getting any more fun.

If you have any good & simple dinner recipes, send them my way please!

Weekend Fun

After a long week of work and school, Eric and I can't help but be excited to do nothing on the weekends. However, that never ends up happening. No matter how hard we try to sleep in, be lazy or just sit and enjoy being with each other (which we always do no matter what) we seem to be BUSY BUSY BUSY! This past weekend, Eric and I started it out on friday night writing thank you notes from the wedding. We have 98% of them written! YAY! My mom came downstairs and hung out with us as we wrote them and Eric and I really enjoyed her company. She is such an entertaining person and we always love being around her.

Saturday was a long day of FOOTBALL! We woke up bright and early to attend my little brothers football game. They won and Logan played so good! I love supporting him in what he loves to do and have been a fan of him and his football team ever since they started playing! We then had a nice long drive up to Plain City where Eric's parents live. We went up there and ate pizza, watched UTAH BEAT BYU and celebrated Susan (Eric's mom) birthday! I love being in Plain City and spending time with Eric's family. We stayed over night up there and on sunday Eric and his dad went and played golf while Susan, Shel and I went out to breakfast! It was delicious and after that, I was pampered by Shel who painted my nails! After a long weekend of eating, family time and driving, Eric and I came home to do homework late on sunday night. Overall it was a successful weekend and we are back on schedule for the week!

PAINTBALL!

Eric has found a new hobby that he loves and has had before...it's paintballing! When he was younger, he played the same level as the semi-pro paintball players and was able to travel to different states and play! Who would have known paintball was a legit sport or hobby right? NOT ME! Before school started Eric decided that bodybuilding was taking up a lot of his time and energy and right now he needed to focus on work and school so now he paintballs! On saturday he had a tournament and I got to go watch him play! It was so much fun! I have gone paint balling one time and tournaments are A LOT DIFFERENT! He had a lot of fun and I had a lot of fun supporting him in what he loves to do! We were up at 5 am and the tournament started at 8 and went till about 3. It was a long day but I enjoyed being with him and meeting the other members of his team! I am glad he has found a hobby that doesn't tire him out each day, doesn't restrain him from eating good unhealthy food and he gets boy time once a week as he goes to practice on sundays! As long as he wears his mask so he doesn't get hit in the face, I am okay with it!(:

This is the field. Two teams go out on the field at the same time, different sides and they shoot each other basically. haha It's really exciting!

My hubby in the game!

Eric's niece and sister came over to support him! Addie LOVED watching it!

Our Little Home

Well we are FINALLY MOVED IN! Eric and I are living in the basement apartment of my parents house. We have 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom and living room! I took some pictures once everything was moved in because I was so excited. We have made a couple changes since these pictures and have yet put anything on our walls/take down old stuff that was on the walls before we moved in but here are some pictures of our place!

We got this kitchen table at Kohls and Eric loves it! I love it too but I think its his favorite piece in the house!

I am IN LOVE with our comforter.

These are more of the pillows we had made for the wedding!

My sister in law made this wreath for the wedding and we put it on our front door!(:

Wedding Day!

 08.10.12

I can honestly say August 10, 2012 was one of the best, if not the best day of my life. Eric and I were married at Fox Hollow Golf Club where my dad is the Golf Pro and everything, I mean EVERYTHING turned out PERFECT.

Eric and I wrote our own vows. His were SO adorable. I was crying the whole time.

Erics best friend Cody was the Best Man and my amazing sister and best friend Abbi was my Maid of Honor.

We wouldn't have had the amazing wedding that we had without our amazing parents. My mom and her friend Judy handmade almost everything. They all put in so many hours of hard work, time, and money to fulfill our wedding day wishes. I am so grateful to have amazing parents and amazing in laws!

These pictures were taken at the golf course after the ceremony. This was the ceremony sight and you can see the lantern hanging in the background, where we were married!

I feel so lucky to have found my best friend and now husband!

We had an amazing dinner for the guests of the ceremony. Eric from the beginning said he wanted one thing at the wedding....a nice dinner! Our dinner consisted of try-tip, glazed chicken, potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad and the choice of peach, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry cheesecake! YUM! It was very satisfying after the nerves that went through our stomachs at the ceremony. Eric was very happy with how it turned out. YAY!

We had these pillows made, as well as many others that are personalized! I am in love with them! My mom picked out the perfect fabric and they now decorate our apartment!

Beautiful bouquet right? Thanks to our amazing friend Ardice who put this beautiful arrangement together, as well as the 2 bouquets for my bridal pictures. She has such an amazing talent with flowers and she was able to help us with all of our flower arrangements!

Our cake was WONDERFUL! I am lucky to have an amazing brother Curtis, who is the assistant pastry chef at Stein Erikson Lodge in Deer Valley. He made our wedding cake and it was right on the dot of what I wanted. Our cake was a creme brulè cake with fresh raspberry filling inside. TO DIE FOR! He is an amazing cook, chef, and overall brother.

This was our head table. It was AMAZING. So many embellishments to it. This just shows a SMALL portion of what the decorations were like. I won't ever be able to explain how amazing they were and how beautiful it was.

This is one of my favorite pictures. My amazing sister in law, mom and sister. They were all so helpful in making my wedding possible and I can't thank them enough. At the end of the day I was still smiling and excited for DAY 2 reception up in Plain City. (Pictures soon to come).
